My story
Look at the furry cutie, Xian-Bei, he smiles a lot, behaves well, and he is gluttonous! But you know what? Xian-Bei was rescued from a middle of nowhere. There’s a story of resilience behind his big smile.
It was a chilly winter on 2021, a passerby found Xian-Bei crouching at a street stair, skinny and trembling, with a billboard on his neck:” Hi, I don’t bite, I’m abandoned. Please take me home if you can.” The passerby decided to help. Twists and turns, finally Xian-Bei came to PACK.
Rest and trained, spent 8 months at PACK, the furry cutie now interns at a foster home, he’s 100% socialized, and ready for the new lifestyle and a forever home!

Personality
You treat, and he follows. Xian-Bei is such a gobbler, you can always get his attention and make him follow as long as you have food. Apart from the food thing, Xian-Bei needs a lot of walks and play, he loves passing and catching! In all, Xian-Bei has a stable personality, he’s okay with strangers or new environments.
1
Energy Levels
Outgoing, energetic. Xian-Bei is a bag of cuteness!
2

He gets excited when eating or taking a stroll. Xian-Bei is a man of ideas, if you give him a clear instruction and… treat, he will be all yours!

My Behavior
1
Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
Strangers
Friendly, Xian-Bei loves being petted by people.
Dogs
Nothing special, Xian-Bei only barks and kicks out other dogs when he’s resting and gets bothered.
Cats
Not interested in cats, so-so.
Kids
Same reaction towards strangers, Xian-Bei pushes kids away when they are being rude or too much.
Noise
Xian-Bei is okay with noises, he adapts quickly.
Touch
Xian-Bei is a big hug lover, just pet him!
2
Behavior observations
There are some common behavior issues that we see in dogs who have spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. We assess our dogs for these behaviors and provide training plans for adopters to help manage them.
Barking
Seldom.
Separation Anxiety
No separation anxiety.
Aggression
No aggression toward humans, Xian-Bei gets aggressive only when other dogs come and bother him.
Resource Guarding
This occurs sometimes when Xian-Bei is at PACK. His behavior improves a lot after training, but it’s better to keep an eye on him.
Destructive Chewing
Never breaks things, nor bites something that he should not bite.
3
Obedience Training
Obedience training is critical for nurturing healthy dog-human relationships and having a well-behaving dog. Our dogs receive basic training at PACK Academy, which provides a foundation for communication between dog and human.
Name
Xian-Bei recognizes his name. He replies when people call him.
Yes & No
Xian-Bei understands “Yes” (You do great) and “No” (Don’t do that).
Potty Trained
Trained. But Xian-Bei will release himself at a random place (not on a diaper pad) if he doesn’t go out and holds his pee for too long…
Good on Leash
Xian-Bei is okay for following. Note that he rushes and gets excited when going out for a walk because he’s eagerly for sniffing and peeing. After finishing “the job”, Xian-Bei walks in calm.
